Our Mission:

Using digital technology to enhance the lives of people with disabilities, augment teaching and learning, and communicate and express ideas.

Photo of Kansas University Center for Developmental Disabilities at Parsons The Life Span Institute at Parsons maintains a staff of Media Lab personnel including a graphic artist and web technician to support research, clinical, and training activities. This department has a 30-year history of film, video and print media production in conjunction with grant-supported research and training projects.

Media Lab is the location of state-of-the-art facilities for the production of print materials, multimedia production, facilities for interative telecommunications technology, and offices for Media Lab staff. Modern production equipment and software packages and tools are used for the development of electronic media, graphics arts, and Web-based products.

All Media Lab computers and servers are connected to the University of Kansas wide-area Network, and all Web resources are hosted on University of Kansas servers and maintained and managed by local computer and network technicians.
